Our VIN Decoder, Recall Lookup, License Plate Lookup, and Vehicle History Report tools are provided solely to help individuals research a specific vehicle they are considering buying, selling, or currently own. You agree not to use these tools to look up, monitor, track, or gather information about any individual without their knowledge or consent, or for purposes of stalking, harassment, surveillance, or any unlawful activity. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any use we reasonably believe violates this section.

4. Account Responsibility

If you create an account on our Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. Guest Purchases

Some services may be purchased without creating an account. Guest purchases are subject to the same Terms as account-based purchases. Reports purchased as a guest are delivered via download or email as selected at checkout and are not stored in an account unless one is created.

6. Services and Credits

Complete Car Report provides vehicle history reports, VIN decoding, recall lookups, license plate lookups, dealership/business search (Spot Finder), and related tools. Paid services are purchased as credits, individually or in bundles. Credits do not expire unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, and are non-transferable between accounts.

7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Vehicle history and lookup data is sourced from third-party providers, including but not limited to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), NMVTIS-approved data providers, and other licensed data partners. We do not independently verify this data and cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free — not all accidents, title issues, or vehicle events are reported to these sources. Reports should be used as one tool among several, alongside an independent vehicle inspection, before making a purchase decision. We are not liable for decisions made based on report content.

8. Payments and Refund Policy

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Purchases of report or Spot Finder credits are final once the credit has been used to generate a report or search. A refund may be issued if:

• A purchased credit was charged but not delivered due to a verified system or payment error, or
• A report failed to generate after payment and the issue could not be resolved on retry.

To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of your purchase, including your order/report ID.

9. Premium Membership

If you subscribe to Premium Membership, it will automatically renew on a recurring basis at the then-current price until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Premium perks (including any discounts or ad-free access) apply only while your subscription is active.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Complete Car Report and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

11. Third-Party Links and Data Providers

Third-party names, trademarks, service marks, and logos referenced on our Site or in our services belong to their respective owners.

This may include CARFAX®, S&P Global, AutoCheck®, Experian®, NHTSA®, and other third-party brands.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Complete Car Report is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with these companies or their trademarks.

References to third-party brands are provided for identification and informational purposes only and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or certification.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, error-free, or that vehicle information will be complete, current, or accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Complete Car Report will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, our services, or reliance on vehicle information. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service will not exceed the amount you paid for that specific service, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
